Birmingham Education Fair 2024
After the success of the London event, we were asked to bring the popular event to London to Birmingham’s Muslim community. Although tailored to a smaller community than in London, the day was buzzing with connections and community, and we were pleased to have meaningful conversations and dialogue with a diverse range of guests including local headteachers, community leaders, students, parents and fellow exhibitors.
Working in partnership with Al-Quds Academy, the day was a good experience for us, meeting and establishing ourselves in a new community. With the majority of The Legacy Project’s initial focus in London where we were established but an increasing number of requests for seminars and workshops outside of London, as well as this event, we are seeing a clear demand and growing need for The Legacy Project’s work for students and educators beyond London. It was interesting hearing about the particular challenges faced by the community and students in Birmingham, and our dedicated Midlands stream of work is being developed to target this and fill this gap in our work.
We were especially pleased to see a number of exhibitors and attendees from the London event return for the Birmingham event, and benefit from both the local and national education organisations who exhibited in Birmingham!
