Vision Seminar

Our Enrichment Programme begins with the flagship Vision Seminar for the students.

We are currently running the programme with Darul Hadis Latifah in Tower Hamlets. During the session we explored the significance of having a clear goal or purpose, emphasising why it is crucial for students.

Our volunteers guided the pupils through the process of crafting a meaningful vision and engaged students in thoughtful discussion about their personal aspirations and the motivations. By defining a personal vision, students are empowered to make intentional decisions about their studies and careers, fostering a sense of purpose that goes beyond the classroom.

The seminar opened with a focus on the value of having a vision—a clear, personal understanding of what one hopes to achieve in life. We emphasised the role of meaningful goals as the foundation for success, encouraging students to think deeply about what they want to accomplish and why it matters.

To bring these ideas to life, we engaged the students in a dynamic activity called “Protect Your Fort.” This exercise highlighted the importance of having a solid foundation in life to withstand any obstacles that come our way. Just as a well-built fort can resist external pressures, a life rooted with clear priorities, and purposeful planning is better equipped for life’s challenges.

After the exercise, we delved into the concept of vision, exploring what it means to different individuals. The students discovered that success and excellence are not one-size-fits-all but instead manifest uniquely in each person’s life. Through meaningful discussions, they reflected on their personal definitions of these concepts, laying the groundwork for a deeper understanding of their aspirations.

The seminar concluded with a practical discussion on how to create and pursue a vision. Students were encouraged to think critically about what matters most to them, set both short-term and long-term goals, and learn how to prioritise effectively. By breaking their aspirations into actionable steps, the students left with a clearer understanding of how to turn their ambitions into achievable realities.
